Gordy Banta

Gordy Banta has extensive experience in the electrical industry, currently serving as Manager of Electric Construction and Operations at Madison Gas and Electric since February 2003, where responsibilities include leading damage assessments during outages, overseeing high voltage conversions, managing erosion control and archaeological compliance, and training interns. Previous roles include Distribution System Operations Supervisor and Supervisor of Electric Construction and Operations, demonstrating a strong background in both leadership and technical skills such as cable splicing and maintenance. Gordy also owned GLB Construction LLC, focusing on new home construction and custom woodworking, and has experience as a tutor at Moraine Park Technical College and as an electrician at Grede Foundries. Educational qualifications include degrees in Electrical Power Distribution from Moraine Park Technical College, complemented by a high school diploma from Reedsburg High School.
