Heather Gillespie has extensive experience in marketing, events management, and administrative roles across various organizations. Currently serving as an Events Service Specialist at Madison Public Library since June 2023, Heather has also worked as an Independent Marketing & Design Contractor since 2015, developing skills in graphic and web design, SEO, and content creation. Previous roles include Artist in Residence Coordinator at Azule Arts Residency, Marketing Operations Administrator at ZenChange Management Consulting, and Sales & Events Manager at Hilton Garden Inn Asheville Downtown. Heather's volunteer experience includes roles at YMCA of Thompkins County and Habitat for Humanity, showcasing a commitment to community engagement. Heather holds a Master of Science in International Marketing with Events and Tourism from both Edinburgh Napier University and IPAG Business School, along with a BA with Honors in International Relations from the University of Edinburgh.

Madison Public Library
The Friends of the Madison Public Library (FMPL) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to maintaining the excellence of the library by providing supplemental funding and volunteer support for special programs and the library's collection. Money raised by FMPL makes it possible for the library to provide additional community services that it would be unable to support through with traditional funding alone. FMPL sponsored events and charitable activities help keep the Madison Public Library an outstanding cultural and learning center for this community.
