Davide Berruto has had a varied and successful career. Davide began their career in 1998 as a Partner at TI Capital, a Los Angeles-based early-stage technology venture capital fund. In this role, they were responsible for the day-to-day operations of the fund, including deal origination, negotiation, syndication, execution and portfolio management. Davide also coordinated the fund's legal structure creation, launched operations in Southern California and developed an extensive deal sourcing network. In 2001, they became a Partner at Next Economy Partners, and also began working as a Business Consultant for Real Estate/Hospitality Development. In 2002, they co-founded Environment Furniture, where they served as CEO, Creative Director and developed the brand and business strategy, created vision, mission and value proposition, built the management team, and developed the company's brand, creative direction and aesthetic. In 2015, they became an Entrepreneur in Residence and Innovation Partner at LiftOff LLC, where they participated in the development of portfolio companies' growth, product and design strategy, developed and facilitated strategic relationships and go-to-market strategies, and led international business development and fundraising. In 2016, they became a Strategist and Technology Commercialization at APIUM Swarm Robotics. In the same year, they also co-founded Madre Mezcal, where they served as COO. In 2017, they joined AETHER Apparel as Special Projects and Partnerships, and Grove as Strategist-at-large. In 2012, they founded Shelter Half, a brand that experiments with retail innovation and creates venues for commerce based on collaboration and free creative expression.
Davide Berruto attended The American School in Switzerland before attending Pepperdine University, where they earned a BS in Business Administration between 1987 and 1990. Davide then completed coursework in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Organizational Behavior and Economics at Pepperdine Graziadio Business School between 1999 and 2001. Finally, they attended Stanford University Graduate School of Business for an Executive Program for Growing Companies in 2001 and 2002.
