Jose Luis Vazquez-Poletti has extensive experience in academia and research, currently serving as the Head of the Open Source Software and Open Technologies Office at Universidad Complutense de Madrid since July 2005. In addition to this role, Vazquez-Poletti holds multiple positions as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Architecture and Automation, and contributes to various master's programs in Bioinformatics and Social Media at UCM. Their expertise has also led to roles as an evaluator and international expert for organizations such as the National Center of Science and Technology Evaluation and CONACYT. With a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Master’s degree from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, Vazquez-Poletti has published work and contributed to discussions on scientific achievements, particularly related to bioinformatics and its applications in personalized medicine.
