John Anderson

John Anderson is an experienced maritime professional currently serving as the Head of Chartering at Maersk Tankers since June 2023. Previously, John held the position of Director of Americas Chartering at Phillips 66 from March 2014 to June 2023, overseeing both US Flag (Jones Act) and International Flag operations. John also worked as the Director of International Chartering Americas at Braemar ACM Shipbroking and as a Director and Broker on the Crude & CPP Desk. Early in the career, John was a Broker on the Clean Products Desk at Lone Star R.S. Platou, specializing in the MR & LR segment, as well as in crude desk operations covering the VLCC & Suezmax segments. Additionally, John has relevant experience in tanker operations involving crude, clean, gas, and chemicals. John holds a Bachelor's degree from Texas State University.
