Mafwa Theatre is a community theatre company bringing refugees, asylum seekers and settled communities together to celebrate our diversity and campaign for a more welcoming Leeds. We use drama and the arts to create work that celebrates our similarities and differences, brings people together and speaks truth to power. We use our platform to highlight and enable development opportunities for artists and theatre makers from migrant backgrounds and advocate for migrant rights.

Mafwa Theatre runs 'Lincoln Greeners,' a weekly gardening group, and 'Kuluhenna Drama,' a weekly women's drama workshop. We recently transformed a disused playground in Lincoln Green into the 'Roxby Community Garden,' a garden of sanctuary where the community can grow food, join workshops, and attend events.
