Ian Frawley

Ian Frawley has over 20 years of experience in software engineering and architecture. Ian has worked in various roles at different companies, including MAG (Airports Group), TalkTalk, Opal Telecom, Aquist Systems, Thurnall, and Fox software.

At MAG (Airports Group), Frawley served as the Head of Engineering, responsible for developing and leading a new Systems Integration function. Ian also implemented a DevOps mentality focused on continuous integration and automated testing.

During their time at TalkTalk, Frawley held multiple positions, including OSS Enterprise Architect, System Architect - DevOps, OSS C# Development Technical Consultant, and C# Applications Development Team Leader. In these roles, they played a fundamental part in establishing and maintaining the systems architecture for TalkTalk, ensuring that technology delivered a competitive edge to the business.

At Opal Telecom, Frawley worked as a Senior Software Engineer, where they designed and implemented systems using technologies such as C++, Visual Basic, SQL Server, and Classic ASP. Ian'snotable achievement was the design and implementation of Carrier Pre-Select, which contributed to Opal's acquisition by Carphone Warehouse.

Frawley's early career included roles as a Software Engineer at Aquist Systems, Thurnall, and Fox software.

Ian Frawley attended St Marys RC High School from 1987 to 1991. Ian then pursued higher education at St Marys RC Sixth Form College from 1991 to 1993, where they obtained their A Levels in Art, Design, and Computing. Later, from 1996 to 1998, Ian attended Wigan and Leigh College, where they earned an HND (Higher National Diploma) in Computer Software Engineering.
