Jegar Apiag

Jegar Apiag has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Jegar started their career as a Production Process Engineer at Sports City Philippines and later joined Taiyu Yuden Philippines Inc. in a similar role. Jegar then transitioned to the field of software development, working as a Special Technology Instructor and Information Technology Trainer at the Science and Technology Education Center. After that, they served as a Software Development Project Manager and Technical Lead for a Freelance Software Development Team, where they successfully delivered several software products. Jegar gained further experience as a Professor and System Administrator at the University of San Carlos, where they focused on teaching advanced programming and managing the computer science department's network. Jegar then joined UnionBank of the Philippines as a Business Solutions Officer, responsible for project planning, requirements analysis, and project coding. Jegar continued their career at Catapult a Mercator Company as an IT Senior Manager, where they oversaw IT operations, infrastructure setup, safety risk management, and process optimization. Following that, they joined Catapult - An Accelya Group Company as a Manager on Continuous Improvement Program and Special Projects. Currently, they are working at Magaya Corporation as the Manager of QA Automation and Infrastructure. Throughout their career, Jegar has demonstrated their ability to effectively manage teams, deliver projects with expected quality, and stay updated with current business trends.

Jegar Apiag completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics with a focus on Optics from the University of San Carlos in the years 1997 to 2001. Following this, they pursued a Secondary Professional Education Certificate in the Physical Sciences from the same university, which they obtained from 2002 to 2003. In 2009, Jegar Apiag enrolled in the University of San Carlos once again, this time pursuing a Master of Science degree in Information Technology with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Data Mining, which they completed in 2013.

In terms of additional certifications, Jegar Apiag obtained a certification in Leading Teams from Coursera in September 2018. Additionally, they achieved fluency in the Italian language at an elementary level, as estimated by the Duolingo language-learning platform in June 2016.
