Lead Software QA Engineer at Magaya Corporation

Wendy Fernández Páez has a diverse work experience in the field of software quality assurance. Wendy began their career as a Quality Assurance Analyst at the University of Informatic Science, where they performed back-end and front-end testing on management web-based applications. Wendy worked with the RUP development methodology and developed test plans and executed test cases. Wendy then joined Kruger Corporation S.A as a Quality Assurance Analyst, where they continued to perform back-end and front-end testing on web-based applications and also tested mobile applications and web services.

Wendy then worked at Ryder System, Inc. as a Data Entry Operator before transitioning to roles in software quality assurance. At CUBE USA, they served as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst and performed different types of software testing, validated software problems reported by customers, and worked closely with business owners and developers. Wendy used SQL Server Management Studio to work with databases and executed SQL queries to verify backend functionalities.

Afterwards, Wendy joined TracFone Wireless as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst, where they played a significant role in project initiatives, business as usual activities, and handset releases. Wendy worked closely with business owners, project managers, and developers and maintained all SQA documentation.

Currently, Wendy works at Magaya Corporation, initially as a Software QA Engineer I and later as a Software QA Engineer II. Wendy analyzed functional requirements and specifications, conducted functional testing of the system, and developed and executed test plans for functionality testing of application requirements. In their current role as Lead Software QA Engineer, Wendy continues to contribute to the quality assurance processes of the company.

Wendy Fernández Páez obtained their Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Universidad de las Ciencias Informáticas, attending the institution from 2008 to 2013. Additionally, they obtained the Scrum Foundation Professional Certificate (SFPC) from CertiProf in August 2020 and the Testing Automatizado de Aplicaciones certification from Acámica in August 2017.
