Ryan Kerr has a diverse work experience in various industries. Ryan started their career as a Freelance Musician in 2005, specializing in woodwind instruments and musical direction for theater. In 2007, they founded Manuka Music, a personal music publishing house that expanded to include recording, mixing, and mastering services. Ryan also worked on notable projects, such as Christie Baugher's demos for the musical "The Fitzgeralds of St. Paul".
In 2012, Ryan joined MVS Studio Inc as an event technician and later transitioned to a software developer role. During their four years with the studio, they contributed to projects such as a Java-based visual programming language, a web app integrated with iCloud calendars for equipment reservation, and maintenance of a secure web gallery site for publishing photos to social media.
Ryan also gained experience in the food and beverage industry, working as a Barista at Baked NYC in 2017. Additionally, they served as the Asst. Public Events Manager at UCSB MultiCultural Center from 2005 to 2009.
In 2017, Ryan joined Magellan as a Full Stack Developer.
Ryan Kerr received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Studies Music Composition from UC Santa Barbara, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Following that, they pursued a Master of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theater Writing from New York University, completing their studies from 2010 to 2012.
