Ahjanae Braxton

Ahjanae Braxton, LCSW, currently serves as a Military and Family Counselor for Magellan Federal and has been with TEACHABLE MOMENTS THERAPY GROUP as an Outpatient Therapist since October 2020. Prior experience includes various roles at the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board from April 2021 to September 2025, where Ahjanae worked as a Therapist II focused on Child & Adolescent services, Emergency Services Counselor, and Therapist I within School-Based settings. Previous positions also include a Mental Health Intern at Norton Therapeutic Solutions and Child and Adolescent Services contributions at Chesterfield County Mental Health. Early roles involved internships and support positions in therapeutic settings, emphasizing group organization and treatment planning for youth. Ahjanae holds a Master of Social Work and dual Bachelor degrees in Social Work and Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University.
