Capt. Mohit Sabharwal

Captain Mohit Sabharwal has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Starting in 2019, they served as the Director of Key Accounts, Sales & Business Development at Magellan X, a company that develops and invests in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) technologies. Capt. Mohit then became the Head of Operations & Solution Delivery at Chord X, a Maritime Tech Start-up, where they were responsible for deploying Industry 4.0 systems on board ships and ashore. In 2023, they became a Startup Mentor at Safetytech Accelerator, a technology accelerator focused on safety and risk in industrial sectors. Additionally, they worked as the Strategy Director of Offshore Deployments at Hydro Wind Energy, a company leading the transition to renewables. Capt. Mohit also assumed the roles of Strategic Advisor & Mentor at 13Particles Studio® and Chief Strategic Advisor at Charismight, both involving providing guidance and support to these organizations. Captain Sabharwal also served as a member of the Global Advisory Board at Navguide Solutions LLP, focusing on improving vessel performance through innovative microlearning tools. Furthermore, they contributed as a Limited Partner at Fuel Ventures, CrossFund, OGGI Equity, and BlackHorse Capital, all of which involve investments in early-stage tech companies and private equity firms. Captain Mohit Sabharwal has a diverse education history. Capt. Mohit started their academic journey in 2002 at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, where they obtained a Diploma in Nautical Science focused on navigation, cargo handling, controlling the operation of a ship, and ship stability. Capt. Mohit further pursued their education in the field of nautical and marine studies and earned a BSc degree in Nautical Technology from the University of Mumbai in 2009.

In 2017, Captain Sabharwal pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Operations and Finance at the S P Jain School of Global Management, which they completed in 2019. During this time, they also completed the Markstrat Simulation, a marketing and strategy simulation, as part of their coursework at the S P Jain School.

Captain Sabharwal continued their educational pursuits by undertaking the Exercising Leadership: Foundational Principles program offered by HarvardX in 2020. Additionally, they completed the Exercising Leadership: Foundational Principles course from HarvardX in 2020 to enhance their knowledge in organizational leadership. As part of their continuous learning, they obtained several certifications from LinkedIn, including Key Account Management, Change Management: Roadmap to Planning, Leadership Stories: 5-Minute Lessons in Leading People, Telling Stories with Data, and Customer Service Foundations.

In 2021, Captain Sabharwal enrolled in the Stanford LEAD Corporate Innovation Executive Business Education program at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, which they completed in 2022. This program aimed to help him discover their purpose and maximize their potential through learning, engagement, acceleration, and disruption.

Aside from their formal education, Captain Sabharwal obtained the Master Mariner Certificate of Competency (COC) FG Unlimited from the Government of India in 2011. This certification further solidified their professional expertise in the field.
