Andrew Hovingh

Andrew Hovingh is a Principal Software Engineer at Magic Leap, with a robust background in software development spanning over a decade. Previously, at Bazaarvoice, Hovingh served as a Staff Software Engineer, where projects included the design of micro-web services and leading R&D efforts in Business Intelligence analytics. Earlier experiences include roles at Demand Media and National Instruments, where Hovingh focused on web systems architecture, e-commerce application development, and REST web services integration. Hovingh also has experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at Western Michigan University, developing a wireless sensor network, and began a career as a Software Developer at Eaton Corporation. Hovingh holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, both from Western Michigan University.
