Donald Holzworth

Donald Holzworth is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in embedded systems and software development. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer in Embedded at Magic Leap since November 2018, Donald has previously held key positions such as Lead Software Engineer at Harris Corporation and Senior Embedded OS Developer at BlackBerry, where significant contributions included creating a BlackBerry bootloader and various device drivers. With a tenure of over eight years at Motorola as a Senior Principal Software Engineer, Donald developed embedded software for cell phones and implemented a systematic approach that drastically reduced defects. Donald's early career included roles at Southern DataComm, FPL, Equinox, and Harris Computer Systems, where contributions ranged from developing credit card processing software to creating real-time UNIX systems for flight simulation. Donald holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Florida Atlantic University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of South Carolina.
