Kevin Curtis is an accomplished leader in the field of optical engineering with extensive experience across multiple companies. Currently serving as Senior VP and Head of Hardware at Magic Leap since 2015, Kevin has previously held roles such as Vice President of Optical Engineering and Distinguished Fellow in Advanced Optics. Prior to Magic Leap, Kevin was Chief Scientist at RealD, where development of laser technology for cinema was spearheaded. Kevin's entrepreneurial spirit was highlighted during the founding and leadership of InPhase Technologies, which was established out of Bell Laboratories. Kevin's academic contributions include an adjunct professorship at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where optical system design was taught. With a solid educational background from Caltech, encompassing multiple advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering, Kevin has built a significant legacy in optical research and development from early work at Bell Laboratories and Northrop B-2 Division.
