Matthew Snedaker

Matthew Snedaker is a Research Engineer at Magic Leap since April 2023, bringing extensive experience in engineering and research. Prior to this role, Matthew worked at Lam Research as a Process Engineer from September 2016 to April 2023, where responsibilities included designing processes for simultaneous slit-type and contact etches. Matthew's academic background includes serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Berkeley Lab, focusing on in situ and operando spectromicroscopy of photoelectrochemical assemblies from April 2016 to September 2016, and as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Santa Barbara, specializing in heterogeneous semiconductors from September 2009 to January 2015. An earlier position as an Undergraduate Researcher at UC San Diego involved developing a chemical sensor array. Matthew holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from UC Santa Barbara and a B.S. in Chemical Physics from UC San Diego.
