Matthew Smythe

Matthew Smythe has a wealth of experience in software engineering and management. Matthew began their career in 2008 as an Engineer at UEC Technologies, where they were responsible for module-level analysis and design, development, in-circuit debugging, testing, maintenance and integration of software. Matthew also had experience working with NEC, ST and Broadcom chipsets. In 2011, they moved to Always Active Technologies, where they worked as a C#. Net software developer and Team Leader. In 2013, they joined Sage, where they held the roles of Director: Product Engineering, Sage Intelligence, R&D Manager, Sage Intelligence and Senior Developer/Team Lead. Most recently, they have been working as a Software Engineering Manager at MagicOrange since 2021.

Matthew Smythe obtained a Bsc Electronic Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal between 2003 and 2007. Matthew then obtained a BComm from UNISA between 2011 and 2014, with a field of study in Informatics.
