Maria Karpanou has a strong and diverse work experience. Maria currently works at magicplan as the Head of Customer Success, where they manage client relationships and leads the Customer Success team. Maria is responsible for defining team targets and deliverables. Prior to this role, Maria was the Customer Support & Solution Engineering Manager at magicplan, where they led the Customer Support and Solution Engineering teams and ensured client satisfaction by providing custom solutions. Outside of magicplan, Maria has also worked at Microsoft as a Project Lead, XM as an Administrative Support Specialist, Western Union in Customer Care and Technical Support Services, Instituto Cervantes as an Administrative Assistant, and EL-Translations as an In-House Translator.

Maria Karpanou has a diverse educational background. Starting in 2009, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages and Translation at Ionian University, which they completed in 2015. During the degree program, Maria participated in the Erasmus Program at Universidad de Granada in 2013, focusing on the study of Foreign Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics.

In 2012-2013, Maria spent a semester abroad at ITIRI, where they furthered their studies in Translation.

In 2019, Maria began their Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Munich Business School, which they are expected to complete in 2022. Maria also attended an MBA International Exchange Week at SDA Bocconi in 2020, where they explored Global Business Management and the future post-COVID-19.

Maria has also obtained various certifications to enhance their professional skills. In 2016, they earned a Turkish Language Certificate from Ankara Üniversitesi TÖMER Bursa Şubesi. In 2012, Maria achieved the DELE (Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera Nivel Superior C2) certification from Instituto Cervantes, recognizing their advanced proficiency in the Spanish language. Prior to that, in 2007, they obtained a Certificate of English Proficiency from the University of Cambridge. Additionally, Maria holds a DELF (Diplôme d'études en langue française 1er Degré) certification from the Ministère de l'Éducation nationale, certifying their French language skills.

In terms of professional development, Maria has acquired several additional certifications. Maria gained a solid foundation in project management through the Project Management Foundations certification from the Project Management Institute, which they obtained in April 2021. In the same month, they completed the Scrum: The Basics course and obtained a certificate from LinkedIn Learning. Maria has also demonstrated their competence in financial performance through a certification from the International Business Management Institute (IBMI) in July 2020. Furthermore, they obtained a certification in financial accounting from Harvard Business Publishing in August 2019. Lastly, Maria became a Service Hub Software Certified professional through HubSpot Academy in February 2021.
