David Willey

David Willey is an experienced professional with a strong background in program management, strategic planning, and fundraising within humanitarian and development sectors. Currently serving as Programmes Quality Director and Regional Director for Sahel & West Africa at Mines Advisory Group since November 2012, David has previously held roles such as Country Director in Lebanon and various positions focused on emergency relief at Human Relief Foundation. Prior experience includes Project Manager for the International Organization for Migration, overseeing a $1 million project in Iraq, and serving as Platoon Commander in the British Army. David holds a Master of Arts in International Law and Legal Studies from Geneva Graduate Institute, a Master's in Post-War Recovery Studies, and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Politics, all contributing to a robust skill set for addressing complex development challenges.
