Brent Taylor has worked in a variety of roles since 1991. Brent began their career as a Host at Bill Knapp's in 1991. In 1994, they moved on to Lear Corporation where they served as a Quality Inspection and Six Sigma Green Belt, overseeing the 100% quality inspection process and focusing on continuous improvement projects using the Six Sigma approach. In 2004, they were hired as a Purchasing Manager at The CMI Schneible Group. In 2009, they worked as an Account Executive at Client Financial Services of Michigan, delivering comprehensive call center solutions for leading companies in the financial services, government, healthcare, retail, telecommunications, utility and related markets. Also in 2009, they became a Consultant and Vice President at G Taylor & Associates, a global automotive sales agency. Finally, in 2011, they were hired as a Purchaser and Buyer at MPI (Magnetic Products, Inc.).

Brent Taylor obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Operations Management from the University of Michigan-Flint in 2000. In 2016, they obtained a Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) certification from the American Purchasing Society. In 2017, they obtained a Certified Professional Purchasing Manager (CPPM) certification from the American Purchasing Society. In 2018, they obtained a Dale Carnegie Course: Effective Communications & Human Relations certification from Dale Carnegie Training.
