Magnitude Instruments
Eric Kennehan has a diverse work experience. Eric co-founded Magnitude Instruments in 2018 and served as the CEO/CTO. Here, they led a team of researchers to successfully commercialize university-developed technology and design state-of-the-art benchtop transient absorption spectrometers. Prior to this, Eric was a Ph.D. candidate at Penn State University from 2014 to 2019, where they developed time-resolved spectroscopic techniques and studied the properties of semiconductor quantum dots. Eric also worked as a Carpenter at Designer Interiors from 2010 to 2014, a Supplemental Instruction Leader and Tutor at the Center for Student Progress from 2012 to 2014, and a Pharmacy Technician at The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy from 2010 to 2013.
Eric Kennehan received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry from Youngstown State University in 2014. Eric then pursued further education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Physical Chemistry from Penn State University, completing their studies in 2019.

Magnitude Instruments
Magnitude Instruments is reinvented state-of-the-art by developing benchtop measuring absorbance spectrometers that push the limits of nano-to-millisecond spectroscopy by providing quick data collection and sensitivity that traditional TA technology does not provide. Their proprietary noise suppression technology, developed by scientists forscientists, enables quick measurements of small signals as well as scanning with unprecedented low-intensity photoexcitation for quality, publishable results.
