Alireza Pouramin

Senior Electric Propulsion System Engineer, Technical Fellow at magniX

Alireza Pouramin's work experience includes a position as a Senior Electric Propulsion System Engineer and Technical Fellow at magniX since February 2021. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Propulsion System Engineer at the same company from February 2019 to February 2021. Before joining magniX, Alireza worked as a Research Associate at UNSW from August 2018 to February 2019. In this role, they conducted research on permanent magnet motors for all-electric propulsion systems and designed a patented rotor topology. Alireza also has experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer at ELECTROGEN, where they designed and prototyped electric motors, developed control systems and inverters for induction motors, and designed commissioning acceptance test plans. Alireza held this position from March 2008 to August 2013.

Alireza Pouramin completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electrical machines and Drives from Isfahan University of Technology in the years 2001 to 2005. Alireza further pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in the same field of study at the same institution from 2006 to 2009. Later on, they joined UNSW and earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering from 2014 to 2018.
