Sebastian Vasconez

Sebastian Vasconez began their career in 2003 at Schlumberger, where they worked as a Systems Architect and later as a Technical Applications Specialist until 2006. Sebastian then moved on to Oxy, where they held multiple roles including Consultant - Petrotechnical & Geoscience Systems, Planning Advisor, and Staff Reservoir Engineer from 2006 to 2014. Following that, they joined Sanchez Oil & Gas Corporation as a Sr. Reservoir Engineer and later became the Business Development Manager from 2014 to 2018. Sebastian Vasconez is currently working at Magnolia Oil & Gas as the Director of Business Development, starting in October 2018.

Sebastian Vasconez has a diverse educational background. Sebastian pursued a Master of Science degree in Analytics from the Georgia Institute of Technology between 2020 and 2023. Prior to that, they attended Texas A&M University from 2011 to 2014, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Petroleum Engineering. In 2008, Sebastian Vasconez completed an MBA in Finance from Rice Business - Jones Graduate School of Business. Lastly, their undergraduate education was at Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas - ESPE, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Systems Engineering from 1999 to 2004.
