Brian Loughlin, AIA APA, is a seasoned professional in architecture and urban planning, currently serving as Principal and Director of Planning and Urban Design at Magnusson Architecture and Planning PC since September 2017. Loughlin holds academic positions as Adjunct Associate Professor and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia University. In leadership roles, Loughlin is the Housing & Community Development Chair for the American Planning Association and Co-Chair of the Housing Committee at AIA New York | Center for Architecture. Previous positions include Director of New Construction at the New York City Housing Authority and Board Chair for the Jersey City Zoning Board of Appeals. Loughlin's academic experience also includes a tenure as Associate Professor and Director of the Graduate Architecture Program at the School of Architecture at Marywood University. Loughlin earned a Master of Architecture from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The Catholic University of America.
