Mike Jewsbury

Mike is the Design Leader for MKA’s Healthcare Specialist Group, which is focused on the design of inpatient, outpatient, and healthcare support facilities. His portfolio includes stand-alone hospitals up to 3.8 million square feet, new patient towers on existing campuses, and seismic retrofits of fully occupied Essential Facilities including Level 1 trauma centers. Mike brings expertise in the design of complex structures, including those with vibration-sensitive equipment, advanced MEFP integration, and high seismic and wind demands. He has spent significant time in the field, through both site observation services and evaluation of facilities following the Nisqually earthquake. Mike is passionate about healthcare projects from the planning, design, and construction phases through long term operational resiliency of the healthcare mission.
