Zach Lovering

Zach Lovering is a highly experienced aerospace engineer with a strong background in engineering management and urban air mobility systems. Currently serving as the VP of Engineering at Zone 5 Technologies since February 2024, Zach also provides advisory support to Magpie Aviation and Jump Aero Incorporated. Previously held significant roles including VP of Engineering at Elroy Air and Engineering Manager at Apple, focusing on systems engineering and safety. As CEO and Founder of Aera Aircraft, Inc., Zach demonstrated entrepreneurial leadership. Zach's extensive expertise encompasses influential positions at Airbus, where responsibilities included overseeing the urban air mobility system architecture and leading the Project Vahana initiative. With early career experience at Wisk and Helicopter Technology Company, Zach has a comprehensive skill set in aerospace design and development, bolstered by advanced degrees in Aerospace Engineering from UC San Diego.
