Janis Martinson

Janis Martinson is the current Executive Director at Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center. Janis has been in this position since June 2017. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Institutional Advancement at Lesley University from September 2014 to June 2017.

Before their time at Lesley University, Janis Martinson was the Chief Advancement Officer at Miss Hall's School from October 1997 to August 2014. During their time there, they oversaw all aspects of the school's advancement program.

From May 1994 to September 1997, Ms. Martinson was the Director of Advancement at The Waldorf School of Garden City. In this role, they were responsible for leading the school's fundraising efforts and cultivating relationships with donors.

Prior to their work in education, Janis Martinson was the Director of Development at Passage Theater Company from January 1991 to December 1994. In this role, they managed the theater company's fundraising and donor relations programs.

Janis Martinson has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst, and a BA in English from Princeton University.
