Marcelo Vargas

Marcelo Vargas serves as the Chief Platform Head at Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, overseeing the development of electric and internal combustion engine platforms while aligning strategies with company goals. Previously, at VINFAST, Marcelo held the role of Vehicle Chief Engineer for various electric vehicle programs, demonstrating rapid program development and continuous improvement initiatives. In former positions as a manager and project leader at GWM Brasil and Renault, respectively, Marcelo was responsible for project management and leading large-scale international vehicle projects across multiple countries. With a strong engineering background, Marcelo has developed expertise in vehicle architecture, integration, and product development throughout a career spanning over two decades in the automotive industry. Marcelo holds multiple degrees in Mechanical and Automotive Engineering from respected institutions.
