Barry Klarberg

Barry is a Senior Managing Director based in New York City. He joined MAI in 2021 following the acquisition of Monarch Wealth and Business Management, the firm he founded in 2008.

Barry began his career at Deloitte in 1981, where he spent 11 years as the National Director of Sports and Entertainment. In 1992, he formed KRT Business Management, a firm specializing in Wealth Management Services which he eventually sold to Assante.

Preceding Monarch, Barry spent two years as Senior Managing Director at Guggenheim Partners, LLC, heading up Guggenheim Wealth Services in New York and Los Angeles offices. His team managed over 100 client relationships during his tenure. Prior to joining Guggenheim Partners, Barry was responsible for managing Assante Wealth Services and Loring Ward Private Family Office.

Barry received a BBA and MS in Taxation as well as an Honorary Doctorate from Pace University and maintains his Series 65. He was an Adjunct Professor of Taxation at Pace University from 1985-1989 and has also taught "Business Developments in Sports" at the University of Michigan.

Barry has been internationally recognized as a leader in financial counseling to Athletes, Entertainers, and High Net Worth individuals. Barry was elected to the "Sports Business Journal 40 under 40” and has appeared on CNN, CNBC, and The Wall Street Journal Report.

Barry is also a partner/owner of the New York Yankees, YES Network, New York FC (MLS) and Las Vegas Golden Knights (NHL).
