Joe Geier

Regional President, Senior Managing Director at MAI Capital Management

Joe is a Senior Wealth Manager and the leader of MAI’s Marriottsville, Maryland office. He joined MAI in 2021 following the acquisition of his firm, Geier Asset Management ("GAM").

He launched GAM in 2001 after working with Major League baseball players as a member of the financial team of a large sports management firm. For over 25 years, Joe has developed and implemented investment and tax planning strategies to help his clients and their families achieve their financial, business, and philanthropic goals. In addition, he has extensive experience working with professional athletes through each phase of their careers and into retirement.

Joe earned a Bachelor’s in Business Management from the University of Maryland and is a Certified Public Accountant.

He is a member of the AICPA and MACPA, serves on the Board of Trustees at Mount De Sales Academy, and has been actively involved in several local charities and organizations, including The Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation.
