John Zaller

John is Chief Investment Officer at MAI. He joined MAI 's investment team in 2007 and gained over a decade of experience in manager due diligence and investment research across the equity, fixed income, and alternative asset classes. John has also provided custom portfolio management services to MAI's high net worth clients since 2007. John became MAI's CIO in 2016 and is responsible for coordinating the firm's overall investment strategy and its implementation in MAI's client portfolios. John earned his BS in Finance and Business Economics from the University of Dayton. He graduated summa cum laude from UD, ranking first in his class in both degree programs and receiving the Award for Excellence to the Outstanding Senior Majoring in Finance and the Dr. E. B. O'Leary Award of Excellence to the Outstanding Senior Majoring in Economics. John holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the CFA Society of Cleveland. John also serves on the Investment Committee of his alma mater NDCL, is on the Board of Directors for The City Mission, and is an active member of Parkside Church in Chagrin Falls, OH.
