Delaney Horel

Mathematics Tutor at MAIA Education Resource Center

Delaney Horel is an experienced educator with a strong background in mathematics instruction and curriculum development. Currently serving as a Mathematics Tutor at MAIA Education Resource Center, Delaney previously taught at Urban Assembly School for Applied Math and Science for eight years in various roles, including AP Calculus AB Teacher and 8th Grade Math Team Leader. Delaney played a key role in establishing the school's first ICT Algebra course and directed the Pi5NY Tournament, coordinating one of New York City's largest middle school math tournaments. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master's in Teaching Secondary Mathematics from the University of South Carolina, as well as an Advanced Certificate in Special Education and a Postbaccalaureate in Pre-Medicine from Columbia University.
