Bongiwe Tutu

Bongiwe Tutu is a seasoned professional in the fields of journalism, media production, and project coordination, currently serving as a Project Coordinator at the University of the Witwatersrand since June 2022. Concurrently, Bongiwe holds the position of Thought Leader at Mail & Guardian and contributes as a Content Producer and Writer for Africa.com since October 2016, where notable work includes the article "Reflections On Democracy, Looting And Violence In South Africa." Bongiwe has also been involved with the Africa-China Reporting Project as Assistant Project Coordinator, organizing significant workshops and events. Previous experience includes roles as a Videographer, Producer, and Director at Kaya FM, as well as various positions in editorial and reporting capacities across several media outlets. Educational qualifications include an Honours Degree in Journalism and Media Studies from the University of the Witwatersrand and postgraduate studies in Politics and International Studies from Rhodes University.
