Giovanni Morton

Giovanni Morton, MSJ, RHIA, CHPS, CIPM, CIPP/US, CIPP/E has extensive work experience in health information services and privacy management. Giovanni currently serves as the Vice President of Health Information Services at Maimonides Medical Center. Prior to this role, they held the position of Assistant Vice President of Health Information Services at the same organization.

Before joining Maimonides Medical Center, Giovanni worked at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for several years. During their time there, they held various roles including Director and Privacy Officer of Health Information Management, Assistant Director and Privacy Officer of Health Information Management, and Privacy Officer of Information Systems.

Earlier in their career, Giovanni served as the Operations Manager/Assistant Director at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.

Through their diverse roles and extensive experience, Giovanni has developed a strong expertise in health information services and privacy management.

Giovanni Morton holds a Master of Science in Jurisprudence degree in Health and Hospital Law from Seton Hall Law, which they obtained from 2015 to 2017. Giovanni also earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Health Information Technology from Burlington County College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Management from Kean University. Additionally, Giovanni Morton has obtained several certifications, including Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E), Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US), Certified in Healthcare Privacy and Security (CHPS), and Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA). The certifications were obtained from various institutions like IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals and AHIMA.
