Michael Barnes

Michael Barnes, PE, is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in land development and civil engineering. Currently serving as Lead Engineer at Main-Land Development Consultants, Inc., Michael oversees land development projects across Maine. Previous roles include Project Engineer positions at Grenier Engineering, Kimley-Horn, and Carlson Barbee & Gibson, where expertise in stormwater infrastructure design, CAD design, and project coordination was developed. Michael also held significant responsibilities as a Project Manager and Estimator at Summit/Catamount Construction, managing multi-million dollar projects, and gained initial experience as a Civil Engineer 1 at Parsons Brinckerhoff. An Engineering Management graduate from the University of Vermont, Michael has a solid foundation in engineering principles complemented by a minor in Mathematics.
