Mladen Mrvelj

Mladen Mrvelj is an experienced Heritage Officer at Main Roads Western Australia, serving since January 2022, where responsibilities include applying legislation to operations, stakeholder liaison, and heritage assessments. As a Principal Anthropologist and sole trader since November 2020, Mladen Mrvelj provides consultancy services. Previous roles include Consultant Anthropologist at Desert Support Services Pty Ltd, Operations Manager and Heritage Manager at Yilka Talintji Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC, and Heritage Anthropologist at Central Desert Native Title Services Ltd. Mladen Mrvelj has also contributed as a panel member and conference speaker on topics related to Indigenous anthropology and heritage management, and has served as a guest lecturer at the University of Zagreb. Mladen Mrvelj holds a double Master's degree in Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology, and Linguistics from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb.
