Vel Khokulan BScEng CEng MIEAust CPEng NER has extensive experience in civil engineering, particularly in asset and project management. Currently serving as an Asset/Project/Contract Manager at Main Roads Western Australia since September 2012, Vel Khokulan is responsible for project development, delivery, and management, including road safety audits and bridge inspections. Prior experience includes consulting roles with Cardno Acil and Pacific Consultants International, providing design review and consultancy services for major highways and structures funded by the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank in Sri Lanka. Vel Khokulan began the professional career as an Engineer specializing in civil and structural designs at the State Engineering Corporation of Sri Lanka, where responsibilities included multi-disciplinary engineering works and liaising with government agencies. Vel Khokulan earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Honours) in Civil Engineering from the University of Peradeniya.
