James A. Farrand has extensive work experience in various management roles within the manufacturing industry. James A. currently holds the position of Director of Operations at Main Street Gourmet. Prior to this, they served as the Plant Manager at AriZona Beverage Co., where they were responsible for overseeing a 620,000 SF high-tech beverage facility. James A. also managed the production of solvent and water-based sealers and primers at Rust-Oleum Corporation's Somerset, NJ plant, and protective coatings for wood care at the Lesage, West Virginia plant. Earlier in their career, Farrand worked at Appleton, where they held roles such as Operational Excellence Manager, Operations Manager, and Process Engineer. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated a strong focus on improving production processes, increasing efficiency, and managing large teams.
James A. Farrand obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering/Paper Science from Western Michigan University from 1980 to 1986. James A. then pursued further education and received their Lean Manager Certification from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business in 2003. In 2005, they completed Black Belt Training in Six Sigma from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. From 2002 to 2007, James A. Farrand attended the University of Dayton and obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Additionally, they have acquired additional certifications such as Balanced Scorecard and Key Performance Indicators from LinkedIn in May 2022 and Certified Lean Manager from Productivity Inc., Fisher College of Business OSU in August 2003.
