In 2014, they worked as a Social Media and Promotions Assistant at the University of Wolverhampton Students Union and a Smoothie Bike Instructor at Smoothie Bike Hire. In 2016, they worked as an Infotainment Customer Support at Concentrix, assisting General Motors customers in the usage of Infotainment features of their vehicles and documenting customer contact with pinpoint accuracy. Finally, in 2017, they worked as a Sales Representative at Main Street Hub.
Phil Varney obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Management from the University of Wolverhampton between 2011 and 2015. Phil also holds additional certifications from Street Games (Youth Action, obtained in February 2011), sports coach UK (Safeguarding & Protecting Children, obtained in March 2010), and Sports Leaders UK (Level 1 & 2 Sports Leadership Tutor Training and Level 2 Community Sports Leadership Tutor Training, both obtained in February 2014).
