Tom Beckett

Tom Beckett has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Tom founded DimeIn in 2017, an upfront group payments app. In 2022, they became the Chief of Staff at Hoist. From 2018 to 2022, they worked at Scorpion, starting as the Director of Marketing and later transitioning to Marketing Manager roles. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2017, they were involved with Startup Weekend, where they served as a Lead Organizer, Facilitator, and Participant. Tom also worked as a Crowdfunding Consultant from 2014 to 2017, assisting aspiring project creators with running successful campaigns. Tom gained operational support experience at Ontera (formerly Two Pore Guys, Inc.) in 2016, and co-founded Makesmith Accessible Technology in 2013, overseeing production and manufacturing. Tom also held a supervisory role at UCSC Dining Services from 2010 to 2014.

Tom Beckett completed their Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Technology & Information Management from the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2009 to 2013. Prior to attending university, they graduated from William S. Hart Senior High School between 2005 and 2009.
