Nicolai Otto is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in product management and engineering within the video codec and authoring industry. Currently serving as the Director of Product Management for MainConcept Codecs since April 2014, Nicolai manages the Codec SDK and the HEVC Codec while maintaining strong relationships with key customers. Nicolai's career began in 1993 as a Broadcast Engineer at Magenta TV, followed by various roles at Daikin US Comtec Labs, where Nicolai provided technical support for Scenarist DVD Authoring Software. Over nearly 14 years at Rovi Corporation, Nicolai advanced through multiple product management positions, contributing significantly to the Blu-ray 3D market and overseeing the lifecycle of products like Scenarist BD. Nicolai holds a Dipl.-Ing (FH) degree in Broadcast Engineering from Fachhochschule Wiesbaden.
