Sophie Nelson

Sophie Nelson is an accomplished writer and brand manager with extensive experience in editorial roles and freelance writing. Currently serving as the Lead Writer and Brand Manager at Maine Coast Heritage Trust since May 2016, Sophie also operates as a Freelance Writer and Editor through sophienelsonwriter.com since January 2014. Previous positions include Associate Editor at Maine magazine, and various editorial roles at Maine magazine & Maine Home+Design. Sophie began a career in education as an English Teacher at KOJEN English Language Schools in Taipei, Taiwan. Educational background includes a BA in English with a focus on Creative Writing from Bates College and a Master of Fine Arts in Fiction from the University of Southern Maine's Stonecoast MFA Program.
