Aaron Cartterfield

Chief Strategy Officer (cso) at Maine Solar Solutions

Aaron Cartterfield has a diverse work experience, primarily in the solar energy industry. Aaron started their career as an Afterschool Teacher at the Medfield Afterschool Program in 2010. Aaron then worked as a Barback at OBERON in 2011. In the same year, they also worked as a Helmsman on a boat delivery from Wilmington, NC to St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands.

From 2011 to 2012, Cartterfield worked as a Waiter at Cafe Concordia. Aaron then moved to a different location of Cafe Concordia in 2012 and continued working as a Waiter until 2013.

In 2013, Cartterfield worked as a Waiter/Bartender at Hops N Scotch and later as a Waiter at Five Horses Tavern until 2014.

In 2014, they joined SolarCity as a PV Installer, responsible for the installation and commissioning of solar arrays. Aaron was promoted from Apprentice Installer to Senior Site Surveyor in 2015, where their role involved conducting site surveys.

In 2016, Cartterfield joined Maine Solar Solutions as the Head of Sales and Business Development. Aaron'sresponsibilities included sales management, business development, and strategy, as well as the creation and streamlining of sales and operations processes.

Aaron Cartterfield received their Bachelor's degree in Physics major with an Applied Mathematics minor from Kalamazoo College, graduating in 2010. Aaron also attended Solar Energy International (SEI) in 2014-2015 and received NABCEP Certification in Solar Energy Technology/Technician. In 2017, they attended Kennebec Valley Community College and obtained NABCEP in PV Installation and Design. Prior to these, Aaron attended Cambridge Rindge and Latin from 2004-2006 for Sciences and Minuteman Regional Technical High School from 2002-2004 for Engineering. Aaron has additional certifications including OSHA 10 Construction Industry, Electrician Helper License, and NABCEP Board Certified PV Installation Professional.
