Kate Simmons

Kate Simmons is a seasoned professional specializing in strategic partnerships with extensive experience in building impactful relationships across various sectors. Currently serving as the Strategic Partnerships Lead for the Maine Trust for Local News since September 2025, Kate focuses on fostering marketing partnerships and community initiatives to drive revenue growth and enhance local impact. Previously, Kate held several leadership positions at Northeastern University’s Roux Institute, including Director of Anchor Partnerships, where significant revenue increases were achieved through strategic growth initiatives. Kate also played a crucial role in establishing the Roux Institute’s partnership strategy during its inaugural year. Prior experience includes directing strategic partnerships at Masthead Maine and founding Emerge Maine, which supports Democratic women in political campaigns. Kate holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology and English from Colgate University.
