Andrea Lai

Andrea Lai has a diverse range of work experience in the pharmacy field. Andrea currently serves as the Senior Director of Ambulatory Pharmacy Services at MaineHealth since October 2019. Prior to this role, they were the Director of Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Services at Maine Medical Center from July 2014 to October 2019. Andrea gained further experience at Penobscot Community Health Care, where they were a Chief Resident for Health-System Pharmacy Administration from July 2013 to July 2014 and a Community Pharmacy Practice Resident from July 2012 to June 2013.

In addition to their roles in the healthcare sector, Andrea has also held teaching positions. Andrea was a Guest Lecturer at Husson University's School of Pharmacy from September 2012 to June 2014 and an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at the University of New England's College of Pharmacy from February 2013 to February 2014.

Andrea's early work experience includes internships at Harvard University's University Health Services Pharmacy, where they were an intern from January 2009 to May 2012, and at Partners HealthCare as a Pharmacy Informatics Intern from September 2009 to September 2010. Andrea also worked as a Pharmacy Intern at Cleveland Clinic from May 2007 to August 2007 and had a summer internship in the Clean Room at Lincoln Electric from June 2006 to August 2007.

Andrea Lai completed their education at Northeastern University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy Studies in 2011. Andrea further pursued their education at the same university and earned a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree in 2012. Prior to attending Northeastern University, Andrea attended Laurel School from 2002 to 2006. Additionally, they obtained certifications such as Registered Pharmacist from the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy in December 2012, Pharmacy Intern from the Connecticut Board of Pharmacy in September 2011, and Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (CPR & AED) from the American Heart Association in September 2010.
