Lauren Bessette

Lauren Bessette is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in healthcare and human resources. Currently serving as a Medical Education Program Coordinator II at MaineHealth since September 2025, Lauren previously held various roles at the same organization, including Employment Specialist IV. Prior experience includes working as a Human Resources Representative at Tyler Technologies and as an Occupational Therapist at The Cedars Portland and Birchwood Terrace Healthcare. Lauren began a career in rehabilitation as a Rehabilitation Technician and expanded expertise by assisting over 100 brain injury survivors in developing life skills and community integration while at Jodi House Brain Injury Support Center. Lauren holds a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern Maine and a BSW in Social Work from the University of Maine.
