Matthew Buchanan

Matthew Buchanan has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Matthew currently holds the position of Regional Vice President for Ambulatory Operations in the Coastal Region at MaineHealth. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Practice Operations at MaineHealth Medical Group / CHA.

Before joining MaineHealth, Matthew worked at HCA Healthcare Physician Services Group as the Director of Operations and later as the Director of Implementation / Market Manager. In these roles, they led ambulatory operations integration efforts and had oversight of practice operations for multiple specialties and locations.

Matthew also has experience working at Mission Health, where they held various positions including Director of Clinical Program & Ambulatory Services, Manager of Ambulatory Services, Operations Manager of Patient Experience & Engagement, and Manager of Service Excellence. In these roles, they were responsible for achieving quality, safety, and patient satisfaction goals, as well as developing strategic business plans and proformas for service expansion.

Matthew Buchanan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Project Management from Liberty University. Matthew also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from East Carolina University.
