Sheila Nielsen, PMP, is an accomplished project manager with extensive experience in IT leadership and project management. Currently serving as a Project Manager and formerly as Director of Information Technology at MaineHousing since February 2019, Sheila has a proven track record of delivering complex projects, including the Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substance Compliance Program and an ERP Selection Project during self-employment from January 2018 to October 2022. Prior experience includes roles as Director of PMO & IT Application Services at MaineGeneral Health and Manager of SAP Support at Energy East, with a foundational career as a Senior Systems Business Analyst at Central Maine Power Company. Sheila holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Thomas College.

The mission of the Maine State Housing Authority is to assist Maine people to obtain and maintain decent, safe, affordable housing and services suitable to their unique housing needs. In carrying out this mission, MaineHousing will provide leadership, maximize resources, and promote partnerships to develop and implement sound housing policy.
