Gerry Christie

Gerry Christie has extensive experience in the road maintenance and heavy equipment industries, currently serving as Road Manager at Mainroad Group since August 2007, where oversight includes Highway Maintenance Operations in Cranbrook, Yahk, and Jaffray areas, adhering to BCMoTI contract requirements. Prior to this role, Gerry held the position of Quality and Safety Manager, ensuring compliance with Quality Management Systems and Safety Programs in line with BC Ministry, WSBC, and ISO standards. Gerry's career began as a Field Mechanic at Malloch and Moseley Logging from March 1981 to October 1994, maintaining a fleet of high-lead logging equipment, followed by a position as Trade Senior Mechanic at Mainroad Howe Sound, where responsibilities involved servicing schedules and preventive maintenance for multiple shops. Gerry holds an Interprovincial Certification as a Heavy Duty Mechanic from Malaspina College, completed between 1976 and 1980, and graduated from Nanaimo District Senior Secondary in 1976.
