Thomas Tanner is a systems administrator at Mainstay Technologies. Thomas has over four years of experience in IT support, project management, and deployment.

Tanner began their career at True North Networks in 2016 as a senior NOC engineer. In this role, they provided IT support to small, medium, and large businesses in the financial RIA space. Thomas was quickly promoted to a senior title within three months of starting and ran the Escalation Desk.

After a year on the Escalation Desk, Tanner was promoted again as a Project Engineer and Manager to deploy projects for small, medium, and large businesses. Thomas was responsible for on-boarding new clients into the company's MSP management, including migrating all of their data and IT stack from third-party providers such as Rapidscale, OS33, and local IT firms. Thomas also took over management of all network devices and redesigned them according to security best practices.

Tanner has performed numerous Windows Server migrations and upgrades involving software, networking, data transfer, and security compliance. Thomas has also worked on and deployed multiple ESXI 5.5-6.5 Hosts in clusters with backend SAN and Vsan technologies. This included implementing a high-speed ISCSI network for storage traffic.

Other projects Tanner has worked on include deploying and managing DAAS VDI environments, Microsoft Exchange Server management, firewall deployment including Sonicwall, Cisco ASA, Juniper, and Watchguard. Thomas has also managed and setup Azure Active Directory Synchronization and worked within AWS.

Thomas Tanner has an associate's degree in information technology from NHTI, Concord's Community College. Thomas also has a high school degree from Hillsborough-Deering High School. Additionally, Thomas Tanner has certification from VMware in VMware Certified Advanced Professional 6.5 - Data Center Virtualization Design.

They work with Glenn Williams - Systems Administrator, Keith Cassettari - Systems Administrator, and Stephen Polizzi - Systems Administrator. Their manager is Tony Romano, Manager of Systems Administration.
